Disk not ejected properly

Ventura 13.4.1

LaCie 4TB Secure Mobile Drive

I have tried every troubleshooting step that I can find. It happens intermittently. I tried different cables and the other port. If it matters, I use the drive only for time machine backup.

In battery, I have low power mode as "never" and I have switched off "put hard drives to sleep when possible".

My 2022 Mac Mini M2 Pro with Sonoma 14.0 still reports on every startup that my two Crucial SSDs were not ejected properly. Several months ago and a few OS iterations previously Apple support said this was a known problem that "eventually" would be resolved.

For the time being I clear the messages each startup/wake up and wonder why Apple still hasn't fixed this.
