Apple usb keyboard still not working with Ventura

Please can you point to/ provide drivers for this problem?

It is a know problem and has not been addressed.

I can't get my Apple keyboard A1243 working with a macbook pro m2 chip machine since the OS update this year. The keyboard works with my other Macbook pro (2017) which is on BigSur and it sometimes appears if I don't switch off the 2022 macbook pro over several days - which is strange. I am using a a USBc to USB adapter to connect it.

With the same USBc to USB adapter I am using a dell usb keyboard and that works so I really believe it is a OS issue.

There are no drivers to install, it is supposed to just work. I suspect there might be some physical issue, perhaps with the adapter or the keyboard cable. You have done a good job troubleshooting this so far, by testing different combinations. If you can, I’d suggest getting a different usb-c to usb-a adapter. It does not have to be from Apple. When I first got my mac with usb-c ports, I also got a box with 3 small adapters that was very inexpensive.
