Hello everyone, One day I noticed that my "Enter" key is causing a new line instead of the normal function. For example, when I am on Google searching for something, when I hit Enter, I get a new line instead of starting the search. Similar thing is happening across other application. It seems that I have enable a feature without knowing on my Mac. How to disable this an return to the normal function?
option+enter does not do anything. shift+enter is causing the same behavior which is a new line

Try and press option+enter or shift+enter to see what will happen
Hold Backspace, Enter, and Spacebar Key Simultaneously for 5 seconds. it will solve issue.
I had the same issue and it got fixed by doing above.

In my case, it was something related to Edge browser extension. I don't know why. But I removed all the extensions and then it worked fine. Give it a try
I had the same issue and removing a recently installed Chrome extension called "Enable Copy Paste" fixed it!
You might want to try removing any new browser extensions you've added.
