I think my iPhone has been hacked

sorry if this isn’t the most clear situation, im in a state of panic and near hysteria

It’s been very clear the past few months that my devices have been hacked to a certain degree by my housemates (I’m not sure if spyware or if ways of transferring data to a nest of some sort). There’s so many different signs that I’ve recorded, filmed, filed etc on my pc and iPhone 14 pro.

theyve had conversations with me through text that are extremely contradictory and I believe are messing with me to try to drive me crazy. I told them that come August 1 I was gonna go to the landlord and tell him everything that’s been happening (as the landlord supposedly gave one of the tenants and eviction notice, and they are all acting like he’s not being evicted anymore). But of course, perfect timing, the passcode on both my PC AND my IPhone changed and it won’t let me log on to either! I KNOW for sure what my codes are, and now I can’t access my files and messages on either device.

I also am not sure if my photos/videos are saved to iCloud, as my iCloud just recently got filled to the max, and I’m not sure if when that happens, it kicks everything off your iCloud and puts it all back in phone storage…

I can’t log on to anything because I have 2FA enacted for everything and i can’t log into my phone to see the codes…

rheyve also been using various WebKits that change coding recently to affect what I’m seeing on certain pages of popular websites..

like there are 2 90 day fiancé seasons airing currently (before the 90 days and The other way) and they edited my device to completely have the other way vanish from any site I go to, and edited the episode of before the 90 days to feature half the couples from each show… to make me think as if I imagined a whole new season of the other way and some of the couples in it..

(Like I know I’ve been watching Kenny and Armando the past several weeks on The Other way, but theyre not on the Wikipedia or any of the episodes I go to watch now)

I also don’t recognize this “erase this iPhone” in the bottom right corner of the photo below. And my phone hasn’t updated the minute countdown at ALL! It’s been stuck at “try again in 57 minutes” for the past 30 minutes!

im really scared and don’t want to lose my data and I don’t want to lose my proof of these conversations I’ve had with them that help keep me sane..

I’ve also been experiencing text conversations with loved ones that loved ones have no recollection of, so clearly someone is intercepting my texts to and from others.

even my live chat messages with apple help and other “tech support” companies have been CLEARLY hijacked, like they are saying things no tech would ever say,and also mentioning things in my personal life that they would have no way of knowing.

please someone help with any advice on what to do!!

OMG!!! I totally understand exactly what you are going through and your fear because I’m going through the same thing. I feel like I too am going to lose my mind. I have 2 individuals that have physical access to my phone and both are tec& coding experts that say they are “helping me” but it’s more like they are spying & tracking me. Has anyone helped you? Maybe we can compare notes and work together to regain back control & privacy of our phones & personal info. Let me know if you want to chat (

If you feel an unauthorized person/app is remotely using, controlling or monitoring your device, then that is possible only if you have done one or more of the following Don'ts...

  1. Don't hand over an iPhone to kids or to a stranger without Enabling Guided Access
  2. Don't share Apple IDs
  3. Don't Jailbreak
  4. Don't share sensitive information pertaining to your device
  5. Don't give in to Phishing
  6. Don't plug in your device in Airports and Public places through third-party cables and trust the device. Beware of Juice Jacking. (Especially in India)
  7. Don't leave your iPhone unlocked and unattended in public places like offices, schools, malls, etc.

If one of the above is true then quickly change the Apple ID Password and Return iPhone settings to their defaults.

Hack or Prank?

It is highly unlikely that skilled hackers would choose to invest their time and resources into monitoring an unknown/known person's device and getting chat messages or probing into your love life. Firstly, hacking requires a certain level of expertise, knowledge, and tools, which can be quite valuable assets. A proficient hacker typically has a specific agenda, such as gaining unauthorized access to sensitive information, financial gain, or advancing their own personal or political interests.

Monitoring your iPhone would not yield any substantial benefits for a hacker. It would be a trivial and unproductive pursuit that lacks any significant value or purpose. Additionally, hacking activities are often motivated by tangible gains, such as financial rewards, access to valuable data, or the ability to manipulate systems for personal or ideological motives. Monitoring someone's device or getting chat messages or probing into your love life would not offer any meaningful advantage or serve a legitimate purpose.

Moreover, hacking is an inherently risky activity that can have serious legal consequences. Engaging in unauthorized access, surveillance, or invasion of privacy is illegal in most jurisdictions. Skilled hackers typically operate with more calculated precision, targeting high-value entities or systems that present greater opportunities for achieving their objectives. The risks associated with hacking a device would far outweigh any potential benefits, making it an illogical and unprofitable endeavor.

In summary, hackers typically focus their efforts on more lucrative targets that align with their motives and offer substantial rewards. Investing time and resources into monitoring a device would be an inefficient and unproductive use of their skills, knowledge, and tools.

To protect your devices and personal information, it is crucial to follow good security practices such as using strong and unique passwords, keeping your software up to date, being cautious with email attachments and links, and ensuring that your devices have appropriate security measures in place.
