Hello asap192,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you.

We understand that you're running into issues with Spatial Audio. To make sure we've got it right, you're following the actions provided in Listen with spatial audio for AirPods and Beats - Apple Support to enable this feature. Right? If not, please review the steps below to ensure you're attempting to enable the feature as outlined in the article above.

"Turn on spatial audio on your iPhone or iPad

  1. Make sure that you're wearing your AirPods Pro (1st or 2nd generation), AirPods Max, AirPods (3rd generation), Beats Fit Pro, or Beats Studio Pro, and that they're connected to your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Open Control Center on your iPhone or on your iPad.
  3. Touch and hold the volume control to turn on spatial audio while you're playing multichannel content or Spatialize Stereo while you're playing two-channel stereo content. This also shows you the status icons.
  4. When you turn on spatial audio with head tracking, audio adjusts based on your head movement. To turn on spatial audio and dynamic head tracking, tap Head Tracked. To turn on spatial audio only, tap Fixed. To turn off spatial audio and dynamic head tracking, tap Off.

Turn on spatial audio on your Mac with Apple silicon

  1. Make sure that you're wearing your AirPods Pro (1st or 2nd generation), AirPods Max, AirPods (3rd generation), Beats Fit Pro, or Beats Studio Pro, and that they're connected to your Mac.
  2. Click the AirPods or Beats icon in the menu bar to see Spatial Audio listed while you’re playing multichannel content, or Spatialize Stereo while you’re playing two-channel stereo content.
  3. Click Head Tracked to turn on spatial audio and dynamic head tracking. To turn on spatial audio only, click Fixed. To turn off spatial audio and dynamic head tracking, click Off."

So, we can help figure out the best solution, we'd like to ask a few questions.

  • What's the exact iOS version you have installed on your iPhone? This is in Settings > General > About.
  • Is the firmware for your AirPods up to date? About firmware updates for AirPods - Apple Support
  • What version of macOS do you have installed on your Mac? You can locate this information by clicking the Apple Menu () in the top left corner and selecting About this Mac.
  • Would you please provide the exact path you're taking to enable this feature on both devices?

Best regards.
