Mail "Message has No Content"

It started just recently, Mail.app on iPhone and iPad is fine. It's just on my laptop. Attachments are visible, but content is completely missed.

Maibox rebuild, privacy settings - nothing helps.

Hi dimavs,

When troubleshooting Mail issues on a Mac a good tool to use is the Mail Connection Doctor. Use Connection Doctor in Mail on Mac outlines the use and utility of this function.

You may also try removing and re-adding the mail account to see if that affects the message content as well. Note that some providers may require you to use specific security settings or passwords for their mail service, or only allow access when using their internet service in the case of some accounts. Sign in to apps with your Apple ID using app-specific passwords is one such example needed when checking iCloud email from a non-Apple device.

Regards.

Hi dimavs,

If this impacts a certain email account, it might be best at this point to remove the account from Mac, then add it back. That can help with issues that are isolated to the email account. The following is from Log out of or remove email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support.

1. In the Mail app  on your Mac, choose Mail > Settings, then click Accounts.
2. Select an account, then click the Remove button .
Note: If the account is used by other apps on your Mac, you’re asked to remove the account in Internet Accounts settings. Click the button to open Internet Accounts, then turn Mail off for the account. To stop using the account in all apps, make sure the account is selected, then click the Remove button .

Kind regards.
