Unwanted Bogus Alert Keeps Popping Up

I awoke this AM to find this alert popping up on my desktop every 10 minutes. My guess is that it is some kind of hack and the last thing I should be doing is clicking on the "Click Here to Turn on Antivirus". How can I disable this particular alert?

I am running Big Sur 11.7.6 on my ancient iMac.

I was hoping for a more targeted method but perhaps it has to be a case of all or none. Ideally, I want to disable this particular annoyance without disabling all notifications. I have all sorts of alerts set in my calendar like -

cancel Netflix prior to vacation

water cactus first of every month

return library book

that are useful and that I do want to see popping up on the desktop at the appropriate time. I guess I have to decide which is more important - keeping the notifications and putting up with the unwanted one or turning notifications off and losing the convenience of the reminders. OK, but at least I now have an option available to me.
