13.5 Venture update - Now my MAC won;t mount my external harddrive (WD Elements 10TB)

Ran the update yesterday, haven't been able to read my External hard drive since. I have changed USB ports, I can see in disk utility, but unable to run first aid, When I mount I receive the following error - error : 49153.

I restarted in Safe mode, I can access the external drive as it appears on my desktop. I tried disk utility, still not able to run first aid. Tried a few Terminal suggestions from various forum responses with similar issues..

This is my daily use drive with almost 10TB of photographs for my business and my clients. It's a real pain in the bum that I don't have time for

and NO - formatting the drive is not an issue

and NO - there is nothing wrong with the cable

and NO - there is nothing wrong with the hard drive

and NO - I haven't unplugged it, or done anything to it that gives Apple an out for what they are responsible for creating

I have restarted, shut down, slept on it, tried everything that is suggested on every other thread. I redownloaded WD Discovery and tried to mount it that way - the app can see the drive, but not access it.

I am still not able to access this drive.

APPLE - you need to fix this real quick

You may consider Removing the Third Party Software from Western Digital

Apple Computers and macOS are very well built to manage External Drives without the interference from " Other Software "

Third Party Developers Software is often times with buggy or not alway keep up to date to run on newer versions os macOS like Ventura

The Western Digital " WD Discovery Desktop App Version 4.4.396  for macOS " was last updated September 17, 2022.

This pre-dates the release of Ventura released Oct 24, 2022

I'm having a similar issue but with two different MacBooks (2017 and 2022) after installing the latest updates of Ventura 13.5.1 (22G90). Both MacBooks show the external hard drive on the desktop but not on the finder. Yes, the finder hard disk preferences is on. There is no 3rd party software either. I can search for files in the finder that are on the external hard drive and can see the path but I can't access the hard disk in the sidebar of the finder. Can we please get this fixed ASAP? ooh and forgot to mention another coworker is also having the same issue after updating the OS to Ventura 13.5.1 (22G90). So definitely, apple os problem.
