I used photos to make slideshows and now it now longer works. Is there any way that I can still make slideshows? Is there an app that Apple recommends? I don't know how else to say this, but Photos no longer supports the slideshow create .

You can still create SlideShows in Photos. Open the Photos app on your Mac and go to File > Create > Slideshow > Photos.
Please reply if this is not working for you with the OS version you are using. The above works on Ventura 13.5.
