Battery widget not working properly with my airpods

I bought AirPods Pro 2 (Model: 5E135) and paired them with my iPhone 14 Pro Max (iOS 16.6), and they automatically paired with my iPad (iPadOS 16.6) as well. Initially, they remained on the battery widget when the case was closed with the AirPods inside on both devices. However, now on my iPhone, when I close the case with the AirPods inside, the widget displays the case, but they disappear from the widget when I lock and unlock my phone until i open the case again. The iPad's widget works correctly. I have tried resetting the AirPods and restarting my iPhone several times, but nothing seems to help.

Hi there Campioneggg,

If your AirPods Pro aren't appearing in the battery widget on your iPhone as expected, try removing the battery widget from your iPhone and then add it again. To remove the widget, follow these steps:

How to remove widgets
1. Touch and hold the widget that you want to remove.
2. Tap Remove Widget.
3. Tap Remove again to confirm.

To add it again, follow these steps:

How to add widgets to your Home Screen
1. From the Home Screen, touch and hold a widget or an empty area until the apps jiggle.
2. Tap the Add button Gray add button in the upper-left corner.
3. Select a widget, choose a widget size, then tap Add Widget.
4. Tap Done.

You'll find the information above and more details in this support article: How to add and edit widgets on your iPhone - Apple Support

Take care.
