manually updating software on an iPod Touch 7

I have attempted to download Spotify and Qobuz music apps to my iPod Touch 7, but the apps state they require iOS version 13 or 14 (respectively).

I assume there are such iOS versions of 13 or 14 available since the apps state the requirement, but iTunes says my Touch 7 has the latest software version (iOS 12.5.7).

Is there iOS versions 13 and 14 and how do I 'force' the updated to my Touch 7 in order to download and use these apps?

TIA

iPod, iOS 12

If your device is running iOS 12.5.7, it would appear to be a 6th generation (this model can not be updated further), not a 7th generation. Please check the model number at: Settings - General - About - Model = ???
