AirPod pro connectivity issues

I have AirPod pros and they won’t hold a solid connection with any phone I try to connect them to. I’ve tried resetting them, restarting my phone, changing Bluetooth settings, fully charging them, forgetting the device, and cleaning them. They are also up to date with firmware so that’s not the issue either. Also, for the brief moment that the AirPods do connect, the right pod supposedly says it’s not in my ear nor is it connected to the charger. I’ve had them for just over a year so it’s not like they are outdated. I just need to know if there’s anything else I can do to fix them.
