Why is it that I cannot find my waffle icon in the upper right corner of my gmail account in my IPad?

It is version 6.0.230709. Updated today, Aug 9 at 1240EDT. All settings seemed correct. Noticed default mail app wasn't Gmail, made it default. I noticed that some brainiac said all you have to do is hold the icon, and it will start everything shaking; idiot, THERE IS NO ICON TO TOUCH. THAT'S WHAT THE PROBLEM IS! Where did the Gmail icon go? It was there yesterday! Note, the name of my device is iphone 5s. I converted it from my old phone.

Mail icon for gmail isn’t showing on iphone I had to do a phone reset and ever since then my Gmail is not showing the number icon for new emails would’ve come through. I’ve tried all the suggestions and tips and nothing has worked. I saw a post on here that suggested going into settings, notifications and badges but that did nothing can anybody help? Thanks

The trash can icon is gone in iphone mail I had to delete and re-add my gmail account to the iphone. Now, the trashcan icon is gone and I need to click like 4 different things to move it to "trash". I saw a post that told me to go to "Settings" - Passwords and Accounts. I don't see a section called "Passwords and Accounts"? How do I get that trash can icon back so that it shows at the bottom of an open email?
