Changing Apple TV+ subscription plan

I am not able to change my Apple TV+ subscription from monthly to yearly billing

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 16

If you subscribe to Apple TV+ as a standalone subscription, then you should be able to apply the instructions from the related article. Do you see your subscription listed in the overview? Can you select it to see its details? Do you see options for periods of ‘1 Year’ or ‘1 Month’ there?
If you have Apple TV+ as part of the Apple One bundle, then only monthly billing is available.
