The first step is to make sure you Apple Cash account is verified. Even if you think you did the verification, check to make sure. It’s a common error.

  1. Go to your card info:
    • iPhone: Open the Wallet app, tap your Apple Cash card, tap the More button , then tap Card Details .
    • iPad: Open the Settings app, tap Wallet & Apple Pay, then tap your Apple Cash card.
    • Apple Watch: Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap Wallet & Apple Pay, then tap your Apple Cash card.


  1. Tap Verify Identity.
  2. Follow the onscreen steps. When capturing your driver license or state ID card, use these tips:
    • Place your card on a dark background.
    • Capture all four corners of your card.
    • Make sure that there's nothing between your device's camera and the card that would obscure it.


The first time that you verify your identity, you might be asked for this information:

  • Your full name
  • Your Social Security number
  • Your date of birth
  • Your home address2
  • Answers to questions regarding your personal history
  • An image of your valid driver license or state ID card


To use all the features of Apple Cash you must verify your identity.


If you enter the wrong information, try to verify your identity again. If you don't see the option to verify your identity, contact Apple Support.<<

Now that your account is verified you may proceed to transferring Apple Cash to Apple Savings Account.

When you open Savings you agree to automatically deposit Daily Cash that you earn into your Savings account. You can also add money to Savings from a linked external bank account or from Apple Cash.

 

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap Apple Card.
  2. Tap Savings account, then tap Add Money.
  3. Enter the amount that you want to add, then tap Add.
  4. Choose the pre-selected external account, change it, or add a new one. If you haven't added a bank account, follow the steps in View and update your Savings account information in Apple Wallet
  5. Double-click the side button to confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.


Money that you deposit into Savings starts earning interest on the day that the transfer is initiated from the Wallet app.


If you transfer money from Apple Cash, the funds are typically available instantly. If you transfer money from a linked external bank account, it will generally take a few days for funds to be available for withdrawal.<<
