How could I buy a replacement case for my Airpods pro 1st generation

My Airpod Pro 1 generation charging case will not charge my Airpods, I'm guessing the defect is caused due to the broken surface near the charging section of the case.

How to purchase a replacement AirPod Pro charging case? The battery charging case for my AirPods Pro’s have stopped working. They are out of warranty so not covered by mail-in service. However, buying a replacement case seems impossible. Keep being told to go to a store but that’s take a long time and costs a lot of money.
