My airpods always die, i’ll have it in my ears at 82 percent or 100% and then they die and hit 0% but my case is always charged. and i have disconnected it and reconnected it but my airpods don’t stay long they die easily. i’ve had my airpod generation 1 for about one year now.

How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro
If not, make sure you've gone through resetting them to see if that helps. You'll also want to restart the device they are paired with and make sure there are no OS updates available.
