Changed Mac name in "General" setting but old name still shows in Apple ID device list

Title pretty much describes my problem. I recently migrated my old (2015) MacBook Pro to my new (2023) one with Ventura 13.5. At first I used a different name while setting up the new Mac but then I decided to go back to the old name. I went first to the "General" setting then to Sharing (Local hostname) and made the change. I rebooted thinking it was necessary for the change. To my surprise when I looked at the device list in the "Apple ID" setting the old name was still. Try as I might I've had no luck at all figuring out how to fix this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oddly enough the name change problem fixed itself. I had my Mac shut down for a day or two and when I started it up the new name was there on the Apple ID device list.

Thank you Leroy for your suggestion nonetheless.
