Photos Version 8.0 in Ventura blurred after cropped edit

Hi there,

I can crop the image, tack sharp in the edit mode, and then when viewed in the main library it is blurred. This has never been a problem when I was using iPhoto in El Capitan on an Intel machine. I shoot in RAW (Canon CR2 format), and iPhoto had no problem with RAW. Now with the downgrade to Photos on my M2 14" MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.4 (yes, Photos is a downgrade from iPhoto), this problem has appeared. I've done plenty of online searches, with almost all results taking me to an iOS solution. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,

Michael

Hello Michael Force,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We understand that after editing photos in the Photos app and view them in the main library they appear to be blurry. We'd like to help.

Let's ensure that your Ventura macOS is updated to the latest version which is macOS version 13.5.
