iOS Limitations:

You can only restore from a backup that is of the same iOS version. So, if you have a backup made prior to what is installed, then restoring is just not an option.

You will need to follow these steps to restore your backup: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

If your device is already set up, you will need to erase it.
