How do I kill the iphone sync process

Ventura often gets stuck on iPhone sync. Anyone know the process name that I should kill? Right now, the only thing I can do is reboot my iMac, which :eyeroll: if I wanted a Windows machine, I would've gotten one. :D

You can try —

Relaunch the Finder on the fly and see if it will abort the sync

>Force Quit>Finder> Relaunch

No resolve you can try —

Search in your activity monitor for "amp" Here you can Force Quit select both:

amplibraryagent

ampdevicediscoveryagent

Turn off the sync option in iCloud

>System Settings>AppleID>iCloud

Turn off syn options on the mac

Finder>Locations>iOS Device/iPhone>General and Info

uncheck all appropriate boxes

I am backing up to local, not iCloud, so I don't have the first option.

Unselecting the checked box in the second does nothing.

Shut down and restart your mac..
