I'll followup on Cftr1944's original question with a similar (or perhaps identical issue):

Whenever I restart my Dual-Core Intel i7 MacBook Pro (running Ventura 13.6) Finder opens up the folder ms.lproj which is located here:

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreUtilsUI.framework/Versions/A/Resources/ms.lproj

It appears to be a completely empty folder. Yet nevertheless, Finder opens it every time I restart.

What is going on here? How do I stop this?

FWIW, this has been happening since about (approx.) four system updates ago. (Unfortunately I didn't note down after what update exactly this started happening)

Hello Cftr1944,

To start, you'll want to add more specific detail to your post. Is this some sort of application you have installed on the computer? Are you trying to stop it from opening when you do something specific on the computer? Are you trying to stop it from opening when the computer is turned on? Are you trying to completely remove it from the computer?

Details like these will help give the community a better understanding of what you're talking about and what you're trying to accomplish so members can provide more relevant responses.

If you are trying to stop it from opening when you turn on the computer you would use these steps:

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click Login Items on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)
2. Select the name of the item you want to prevent from opening automatically, then click the Remove button  below the list.

Open items automatically when you log in on Mac

If you're trying to completely remove it from the computer, you would use these steps:

1. Switch to the Finder, such as by clicking your desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock.
2. Select the app that you want to delete.
* Most apps are in your Applications folder, which you can open by clicking Applications in the sidebar of any Finder window. Or choose Go > Applications from the menu bar in the Finder.
3. Use any of these ways to move the app to the Trash:
• Drag the app to the Trash.
• Select the app and choose File > Move to Trash from the menu bar.
• Select the app and press Command-Delete on your keyboard.
4. If you're asked for a user name and password, enter the name and password of an administrator account on your Mac. This is usually the name and password you use to log in to your Mac.
5. To delete the app after moving it to the Trash, choose Finder > Empty Trash.

Uninstall apps on your Mac

Cheers!
