Does one HAVE to use a Password ...

I'm the only person that has access to my computer ... new Studio ... in my home. Is the ONLY solution to not having to enter ones password to just leave the computer on 24/7? Actually it's not so much turning it on, but constantly having to enter it doing day to day activities?

>System Settings>User & Groups

If you are using FileVault you can disable it to get past the FileVault login to get to your user account

? constantly having to enter it doing day to day activities....? This sounds like a different problem, maybe you can say more if this is your issue.

See the instructions in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201476

including the "Log in after sleep or screen saver begins" section of that support article.

If you don't want to change the start up requirement but only during the day, go to Apple menu > System Settings > Lock Screen > Require password after screen saver begins or display is off -- change to Never or a longer time.
