Deleting Large Attachments Does Not Delete Them.

I am unable to delete attachments messages, and photos when I’m in IPhone Storage.

I have an iOS 14 pro Max. I’ve tried many times to delete “large attachments”, photos, and messages from my iPhone. General>IPhone >Review Large Attachments. So I painstakingly (!) select- one by one- every photo, hit delete, and poof! They’re gone. nO

tHey aRe nOt! I back out, recheck “Review Large Attachments” and hey, they’re back. Did this screw up happen after an update? Because I’ve never had this problem before. Please, advise? Fix? Thank you all☀️

Hello marblehead,

Are you using iCloud for Messages?

To check, tap on Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Show All. If Messages is checked, then all messages should be syncing between all your Apple devices signed in with the same Apple ID.

If you are, if you remove the message on another device, it should remove it from all your devices.

Test and see if that helps.

Cheers.
