Activities of macbook access.

so I bought a macbook pro with my college id , on student's discount , so will my college be able to acces my data or activity done on that macbook or not ? since i already own one i decided to give it as a gift to a relative who wouldn't be using it for college purposes so it would be inappropriate for my college to access or record his/her activity .
