Hello, I have a few questions about the photo application.

1) When I search by keyword, will it find matching photos or albums? Can I find out in which album a photo is located, or in which folder an album is located?

2) Duplicates - is it possible to mark somewhere that the photos are not duplicates, so that they are not displayed? It could be the same image but in different color variations.

3) Is it possible for memories to be created only from a selected folder?

4) Can I find out somewhere if I have any photos that are not assigned to any album?

Thank you very much!

  1. When you search for a keyword by entering the text of the keyword into the search field, Photos will show you all items tagged with this keyword, but also any items matching the text in the search string - any album with the name of the keyword, text found in the photos, the titles or descriptions.
  2. There is no way to tag suggested duplicates as "no duplicates", but you could add smalla djustments to one of the "duplicates". When a photo has been modified, it will be removed from the duplicates list.
  3. - don't know, I have not tested on an iPad to create a memory. On a Mac I can create a memory from any album.
  4. Not on an iPad - on a Mac you can create a smart album with the rule "Album is not Any". That will show all photos that have not been added to an album. Do you have a Mac as well? Then do the more elaborate organisation on your Mac and sync the results with iCloud Photos to your iPad.
