Thanks for reaching out aiman268,

It sounds like you recently ended your Apple Music subscription and were unable to find your previous music collection after waiting two months to renew the service. We can help.

When it comes to an Apple Music subscription, it is important to remember that unlike iTunes album or song purchases, you are paying a subscription to stream music to your device but not to actually own any of it.

Apple Music does allow you to save some offline songs for use when data services might not be available, but if the subscription ends, or you sign out of your Apple ID on the device, or if you turn off data for an extended period of time and the subscription cannot be verified - that music is immediately deleted.

Apple Music only keeps track of your songs and playlists while you are paying for the service. Since you let the subscription lapse for two months or longer, it is expected that Apple would no longer retain your playlists.

You can learn more about Apple Music here: Add and download music from Apple Music.

Hope that helps.

Take care.

Hi aiman268,

To help us better assist you, can you let us know more about what happens when trying to download that music, or play offline now? For example, do you receive a specific error message? If so, what does the error say? Does that happen only with music from a certain artist or album, or does it vary?

The above information will help us plan how to proceed.

Please ensure you're using the process outlined in the "Download music from Apple Music" part of the link we previously provided, so we can make sure there aren't any issues there: Add and download music from Apple Music

Hey there aiman268,

Tell us exactly what happens when you follow the steps previously shared. For instance, do you recieve an error message? If so, what is the exact error message? If you are not following the steps we shared, tell us exactly what steps you are following to attempt to download music again. This information will help to ensure we're on the same page. Allowing us to provide better assistance.

Let's also check the songs you are unable to download, to determine if they may already be saved in iOS storage from your previous subscription. If so, you will need to delete the download and attempt to download the version of the songs, playlists, and albums added to your library since beginning your current subscription.

Have a good one!

Hey aiman268,

Since there was an Apple Music outage yesterday, are you able to download songs to your iPhone today? Apple - Support - System Status

If not, close the Music app (Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support) and restart your iPhone (Restart your iPhone - Apple Support). Once it’s back to the Home screen, see if you can download those songs now.

If you still can’t, do you have enough storage to hold the song files (How to check the storage on your iPhone and iPad - Apple Support)?

If none of the above steps have helped, we recommend contacting Apple Support to look into this issue further with you: Get Support.

All the best.
