When i checked on the apple support app it had told me that my AirPods were “limited warranty” and it expires around November 20, 2023 but my father doesn’t recall putting a warranty on the AirPods how do we make sure it doesn’t or does have a warranty on it?

If you purchased direct from Apple the 12 month warranty period starts automatically when the sale is completed. Apple will use exactly the same information you can see in the warranty check tool, Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support
Apple's limited warranty is included with the unit automatically.
