iCloud Drive – What's the point of the Keynote, Numbers & Pages app folders?

In terms of an iCloud Drive filing system i keep documents – including Keynote presentations, Numbers spreadsheets etc – together in folders relating to topic e.g. 'Work Projects', 'Business Accounts', 'Personal Finance' etc, not what app they were created in, which i'm guessing everyone does right? So what is the point of the 3 default Keynote, Numbers & Pages app folders in iCloud Drive and does everyone just delete them?

Hello bpkersey,

These are the default locations for Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. Although I cannot speak for everyone, I personally keep them. I do from time to time save documents, spreadsheets, and slides within their default locations. However there are times, like you, where I want them within like a 'Work Projects' folder instead.

Shortcuts, TextEdit, and more will also have default locations created within your iCloud Drive assuming you have them syncing to iCloud Drive.

There is no harm in deleting them either if that was something that concerned you. It's all just personal preference!
