Hey there ConnorBlanton,
Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your AirPods are exhibiting an unexpected issue and we're happy to help figure out why. To start, resetting your AirPods was a great idea and we would have recommended that as a starting point as well. Another thing we want to recommend checking is that your AirPods have the latest version of their firmware installed, since that can help resolve unexpected issues like this. Here's how to check your firmware version. This article has some more information, and includes the list of the latest firmware versions: About firmware updates for AirPods - Apple Support
For AirPods Pro, the latest firmware version is 5E135.
You can check your AirPods firmware version by pulling up Settings > Bluetooth and tapping the Info (i) button next to your AirPods and scrolling down to the About section on the page that opens up. If you see a different firmware version other than 5E135, follow the steps below to update the firmware:
- Double check that you have Wi-Fi available on your paired iPhone and that your AirPods Pro are within Bluetooth range.
- Listen to music (or any other audio content) with your AirPods on for about 30 seconds.
- After 30 seconds, place your AirPods Pro back into the charging case and close the lid.
- With the AirPods in the case and the lid closed, connect your AirPods Pro to power using a Lightning cable and let them charge undisturbed for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes has elapsed, reconnect your AirPods Pro to your iPhone and check the firmware version again.
If you can confirm that the issue is happening on the latest firmware version, then the next step is going to be reaching out to Apple directly. If available in your region, this will let you connect with an advisor to work on some further troubleshooting steps and to provide additional information about the issue you're experiencing. We hope that this information is helpful.
Have a great day!
