Good evening,
When playing music in itunes, all music has a popping/crackling noise. This includes music in my library and the previews of songs in the itunes store. When the music is synced to my ipods the songs sound totally normal. All other sound from my PC is normal. It is just a problem with itunes. Please could you advise me on how to rectify this.

I've noticed at least once, the crackling stopped after I paused the music and then restarted it after a minute or 2. This problem just lately started for me in March 2024, but I see similar posts on this issue going back more than a year. Gotta wonder what is going on with ITunes that this doesn't have more attention. It is irritating enough to consider alternative music players. I've used Itunes for 15 years or more, really like it but this makes me begin to doubt.
