If I “upgrade to iCloud with 50 GB for $0.99 per month”, is that a continual monthly charge, or it will only happen when I need more storage (ie periodically)?

My iPhone says my iCloud storage is full … so if I “upgrade to iCloud with 50 GB for $0.99 per month”, is that a continual monthly charge, or it will only happen when I need more storage (ie periodically)?

It's a continual charge until you choose to downgrade or a problem occurs with the payment.
