Mail Icon doesn't show number of unread emails on iPhone

I've solved this before. But it keeps happening. I make sure Badges is turned on - turn the phone off and on - it works, then - after a bit (no pattern), it disappears again!

Apple mail: blue dot remains Lately the blue dot does not disappear from mail in the Apple mail app on my Iphone 14 pro(17.4.1). This only happens when the mail is read elsewhere, then synchronized. However, despite the blue dots all still being there, if you filter by "unread", none of the email show up. The app knows they have been read, but does not clear the blue dot. Restarting the phone or close the app does not help. I end up having to read each of the emails again on the phone. Why?

email count is not displaying on the email app icon I recently updated iPhone 13 max pro to the most recent iOS (16), and found that my unread email count is no longer displaying on the email app icon on the home screen. When I checked the notification settings, the ability to select “badge” is not there. Anyone else experiencing this issue? I tried restoring and updating my phone but the issue persists.

Mail icon for gmail isn’t showing on iphone I had to do a phone reset and ever since then my Gmail is not showing the number icon for new emails would’ve come through. I’ve tried all the suggestions and tips and nothing has worked. I saw a post on here that suggested going into settings, notifications and badges but that did nothing can anybody help? Thanks

Mine too, any chance you clicked a link from a sus email, pretty sure I did? I’m looking for info on this too.
