Can I connect a late 2014 27 inch 5k Retina Imac with a 27 inch 2019 5k Retina Imac?

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to connect a late 2014 27 inch 5k Retina Imac with a 27 inch 2019 5k Retina Imac? I looking to get a duel screen set up.

Actually there are a number of ways.

  1. If you meet the requirements: Use your iMac as a display with target display mode - Apple Support
  2. Using Duet or Luna Display
  3. Using an app such as AirServer
  4. Using Screen Sharing

Target Display Mode might be a possibility, but only if the OP uses a Thunderbolt connection (Apple TB3-to-TB2 adapter ($50) + TB1/2 cable ($30?)), keeps the 2014 iMac on High Sierra or earlier, and keeps the 2019 iMac on Catalina or earlier.

The restriction of not being able to run more recent versions of macOS on the 2019 iMac would likely be a killer.
