HomePod Minis — Groups and Follow-me Music capabilities???

I have several HomePod Mini’s scattered throughout my house.

Some are paired in a room, while others are singles.

Two questions:

1) As I understand it it’s possible for me to group some or all of them into a group where when I play music or the radio on an entire group, it will play on every speaker in that group. Correct? I’ve not yet figured out how to do that.

2) Does the HomePod Mini have the capability for “follow-Me” music? Obviously I could play the music on every speaker in the house simultaneously — but that seems a little excessive. When I am moving throughout the house a lot, like doing chores, it would be great if I could go into Home and set a device to follow — like my Apple Watch which I always wear — and the music would follow me to the speaker(s) nearest me as I move, automatically and uninterrupted. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

1) See Add a smart home accessory to the Home app - Apple Support:

Organise rooms into a zone

Group rooms together into a zone, such as upstairs or downstairs, to control different areas of your home easily with Siri.

  1. On iPhone or iPad, touch and hold the room name to open the room. On Mac, click the room name.
  2. Tap or click the More button  and select Room Settings.
  3. Tap or click Zone.
  4. Select a suggested zone, or choose Create New and give your new zone a name.
  5. Tap or click Done.

2) This isn't currently possible, but is a nice idea. Try Feedback - HomePod - Apple.
