After charging my iphone 14 pro overnight, i woke up to a black screen. I tried to power on for the apple logo, but nothing happened. when I unplugged the power adaptor and plugged it back in, the phone makes the usual sound. It still doesn’t turn on.

What I did was follow the steps volume up, vol down, etc. But then I plugged it back in to the ac adaptor even though it was fully charged. After about 20 minutes, I unplugged it from ac. The screen came back on. What I discovered to not leave my phone on charge all night. It fully charges quickly using the adapter that came with it. If it happens again I will return to Apple store
FYI. Just returned from the Apple Store. The rep told me that it is normal for the screen to go “to sleep “ while updating an app which is usually done while the phone is charging. He also explained that pushing the up volume, down volume, then side button will wake up the phone and restore the screen. But he said people take to long performing those three steps. It should be done quickly press each button fast one after the other. He performed this in front of me. I hope this solves the problem for you.

It unplugged and it started working on it's own. Weird...
Did you figure it out? I am facing the exact same issue right now... It turned the screen on at some point, but now again, the same thing...
