IPOD Nanos' icon no longer display on Music Library to download new music

I have Internet capability for downloading Apple Music to my Music Library. However the Music Library Apples software no longer shows the Nano IPOD icon or USB port for me to copy/sync from the Library to the IPOD.
The iPod Nano, however, has not internet capability. Therefor, you cannot load music from an Apple Music subscription on to it. You can only download music you have purchased or ripped from your own CDs.
Thank you. Must have been a software change in the past when the Nano's were supported. I haven't downloaded any music from the store for several years and am out of luck having several Nano's or a software USB stick.

If you have an Apple Music subscription, you can’t download or copy music to an iPod nano as it requires internet capability.
