I have an iPad Mini. How do I cancel an app after just a few minutes after downloading? I have gone to the Apple App and check my purchases and can't find a way to cancel a purchase made in less than 2 minutes. How do I do this?

How do I cancel an app from my iPad Mini after just 2 to 5 minutes of getting it? Thank you for this help!

You will need to wait for the related purchase invoice to arrive from Apple via email - this usually arriving with 24 hours.


In many countries/regions, App purchases are final. However, within the invoice email will be a “Report A Problem” link - where you may request that an App purchase is cancelled. Apple, at their absolute discretion, may cancel the purchase and make a refund to the registered Payment Method that was used to purchase the App.


You should note that discretionary cancellation/refund is not a mechanism for testing software - and returning if not to your liking.

What exactly are you trying to cancel?


If the App had a once time price, you cannot cancel the purchase. You can, as explained above, request a refund once the charge has gone through. There is no cancelling a one time purchase, only requesting a refund for it after I charges you.


If the App had a recurring subscription that activated a free trial when you installed it, then you can follow the steps in the support document linked below to cancel the free trial / subscription before the free trial ends and you should not be charged for it.
