Wacom intuos CTH-480 doesn't work

It's an old Wacom tablet, I know, but it worked fine on my old iMac before it died (it was running Catalina). All the security settings are enabled to allow it to work, however Wacom desktop center cannot find the device. I have a special USB adaptor to allow it to plug into the back of my new computer, and the light comes on showing that it does get power. I tried the latest version of the driver, didn't work. I tried an older version that still works with Ventura, still doesn't work. I don't want to have to get a new tablet to be able to draw. Any ideas on how to fix....?

I had the same problem, and I found that we need to install an old version of the dirver (Driver 6.3.46-2 macOS 10.14 - 12 116 MB 8/23/2022). Here is the link https://www.wacom.com/en-us/support/product-support/drivers?sku=CTH480 It worked for me. Good luck!

Unfortunately wacom officially dropped support for some older tablet models (including ctl480 and cth48) for macos 13 and above, meaning the only way those tables will work on macs with macos 13 or newer will be if someone makes an unofficial third party driver for those tablet models or if apple includes graphic tablet drivers supporting those models into the os, which most likely wont happen.

Edit:

I just tested the opentabletdriver under macos 14, it does work with my CTL-480, if you want to take a look you can find it here: https://github.com/OpenTabletDriver/OpenTabletDriver
