Hello,

I am running into this issue and have followed all guides with no luck. Anything else that I can try?

Thanks,

Hey there quionjay,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We'll be happy to help. To set up your Apple TV as a home hub, follow the steps in this guide: Set up your HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV, or iPad as a home hub - Apple Support

"Apple TV* automatically becomes a home hub when you add it to HomeKit. Open Settings on Apple TV.

  1. Select Users and Accounts. Make sure your name is selected under Default User and that you're signed in to iCloud with the Apple ID that you used to set up your HomeKit and Matter accessories in the Home app.
  2. Go back to Apple TV Settings, then select AirPlay and HomeKit.
  3. Scroll down and select Room, then choose a room or add a new room." (See article linked above)

If you've successfully completed that step already but you're seeing a Thread router related error, see if this guide helps: If you see a 'Thread Border Router Required' alert on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If you run into an error let us know.

Take care.
