If someone is still using my old Apple ID, how do I correct that?

My old apple ID got hacked, so i made a new one. i’m wondering if someone is still using my old apple ID somehow?

Here's what Apple provides us in this situation:

If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support

You can also contact Apple Support directly. To do so, simply select the "Support" link on the lower left-hand side of this forum's web page.

I’m not even able to access the account. I believe it was hacked cause my friends card has charges that did not come from me but it looks like they did. i’m wondering if someone els is using my old apple ID? but i also don’t know how the information got in there in the first place.
