Where or how do I find my apps on my on my new Mac Book Pro

Click on Applications in the Finder Sidebar.

All programs are located in the Applications folder on all Macs.

There is always

Applications -> Utilities -> System Information -> System Report -> Software (tab) -> Applications (tab)
