Hi, can I buy a new MacBook in the United States and trade my laptop in in Europe?
I'm currently based in Amsterdam, but prefer to buy my new MacBook in New York.

Most of the people posting here are other customers like yourself. So I'd suggest contacting Apple and asking that question of them, directly.
If you are planning on buying a computer in New York, and taking it back to Europe, you may also need to look into questions around warranty coverage, and whether you will need to pay customs / import / value added tax (VAT).
