iPhone 14 Max Pro eSIM failure
My husband and both have iPhone 14 Max Pros (US version without physical SIM tray). We live in Korea so we use an LGU+ eSIM as our primary and a T-Mobile eSIM as our secondary.
A few months ago I started randomly getting “SIM Failure” errors and my phone would drop one or both of my eSIMS. My iPhone will say No SIM or Invalid SIM on the top left of my control panel where the carrier information should be. When I go into cellular information under my settings my phone, network, boogy man, whatever has turned off my eSIMs. Sometimes when I turn them back on they pop right back on, sometimes not. There are varying levels of what kind of carrier data is listed when I’m getting the SIM error. Sometimes they’re off, sometimes gone, sometimes there but no carrier details, it’s not consistent.
I've tried restarting it (so many times), deleted my VPN app, talked to my local provider (LGU+), switched from 5G to LTE, confirmed the IMEI numbers match the phone/carrier, spoken with apple support on the phone, done network resets, data resets, completed a factory reset, went to the Apple Store who completed multiple diagnostics (which were all green) and even completely deleted my operating system and then reinstalled it. After that it worked for about 3 days and now it almost constantly has the No SIM error. It will work for an hour or so a day.
My husbands phone is now doing it also. Same carrier and similar settings.
No one we’ve talked to has any idea what the issue is. Does anyone know how to fix our phones? Thank you!
