Downloads from safari

I downloaded a yt video on my phone. I was wondering if there is a threat for virus from downloading it from those “yt to mp4 converter” sites.

Nope. There are no known viruses that can affect an iPhone, and even if there was, anything contained within the video file would be unable to access any other part of the iPhone outside of whatever app is being used to play it.

Yeah, those websites tend to make money from ads other websites so redirections are not uncommon.

Alright thank you. I’ve downloaded before but this time i got redirected to another site which i immediately closed. I got a bit worried from that but i guess being redirected is not unusual
