Can NOT paste Email signature picture into settings

I’m trying to paste a new image into my email signature in settings. It is not allowing me to paste.

I can copy and paste the same image from and to everywhere else, but it’s not giving me a “paste” option in email signature settings - even though I’ve “copied” the image. I’ve tried copying from multiple places as well.

i already deleted the former image but now can’t paste a new one.

iPhone 14 Pro Max. Fully updated on 16.5.1. I’ve done a hard reset as well.

Any ideas?

I don’t know if you can put images in signature field, but you said you had one already. Maybe drag and drop the image in by holding down on picture with one finger, and controlling the phone with the other. If it is possible anyway, I would suggest that you possibly:

Edit your signature.
Restart and force restart your iPhone (you already did but try again after these steps?)
Delete and re-add the mail account.
Restore your iPhone.
Try restarting your device.

If none of these steps work, you can try changing the message format to “Rich Text” by clicking on Mail > Preferences > Composing tab > Message format > Select “Rich Text”
