Birthdays calendar option not showing.

Re: iPhone — For some odd reason, when I go to Calendar App > calendars > and scroll to Other section, I don’t see the option for birthdays to be turned on. I checked on a friends phone and they are seeing it, but I don’t know why I don’t see the Calendar option in the list. Everything I have searched and found only shows that a user needs to select the birthdays calendar so they can see bdays, but I don’t even have the option to turn it on. Any idea of what I can do? I’ve looked through all of my settings and I have birthdays in many of my contacts. To make matters even more confusing. I don’t have any problem viewing it on my Mac, the birthdays calendar is turned on and the birthdays show as they should on my laptop, I’m only having this issue with my phone.

Hello Suzsar,

You're correct in checking the contacts, as those need to have the birthdate field checked in order to generate the calendar. It should be visible under Other, per Set up multiple calendars on iPhone - Apple Support, which you were checking.

Is your iPhone managed at all? You can check under Settings > General > Profiles. If the field is missing, then it isn't managed. These kinds of profiles, sometimes mandated by schools and workplaces, can influence what features can be available.

Thanks!
