Hi there!
This adapter should let you connect your flash drive to your Mac: USB-C to USB Adapter - Apple.
Hope this helps!

Assuming the flash drive uses USB/USB-A port as most do.
You need a simple passthrough adapter USB-C to USB-A
Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Syntech-Adapter-Thunderbolt-Compatible-MacBook/dp/B07CVX3516/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=thunderbolt+to+usb+adapter&qid=1688501163&sr=8-3
If your thumb drive has a USB-A connector, what you want is a USB-C to USB-A adapter. (An adapter that has a USB-C plug and USB-A socket.)
Apple sells one and there are also assorted adapters on Amazon. Anything from inline plug adapters, to a short adapter cable like the one Apple sells, to USB-A hubs that plug into a USB-C port and provide 4 or more USB-A ones.
What is the correct adapter to purchase to transfer data from a thumb drive to my MacAir with Thunderbolt port?
