After OSX Monterey 12.6.7 update. External USB C monitor makes mac unresponsive.

I updated to OSX 12.6.7 and now when I plugin my USB C monitor (that I've been using for years now), it loads the screen but renders mouse buttons unresponsive. I cannot clock on anything with an external mouse or the built in track pad. Apps won't open or switch.

I ran the console log while this was happening and I was getting these errors:

AppleUserUSBHostHIDDevice:0x1000010c1 Matching has vendor DeviceUsagePage : ff0c bundleIdentifier com.apple.AppleUserHIDDrivers ioclass AppleUserHIDEventService but transport and vendorID is missing

The monitor works. I've tried switching cables. It is not pulling power from the Thunderbolt / USB C port.

I would like to fix this and upgrading to Ventura is not a solution.

I'm going to reiterate what I said. I used this display, plug and play with the first batch of M1 Max Macbook Pros for well over a year now. No issues. No additional drivers.

It is a sibloban display that I have had for 5 years now. The fact that it worked, and after an OSX update, does not work, is total trash.

If you don't wish to try to figure out how to make it work again (if it is even possible), I don't know why you posted.
