Copy iPhone playlists to Mac air osx venture

I wanted to copy playlists from my iPhone 11 latest OS to MacBook Air M1 latest version of venture and connected iPhone to Air with the wire. Instead of copying Air synced and I lost all playlists on my iPhone.

now I have another older iPhone 6s latest OS where the original playlists exist (the only remaining music playlists) so I want to be very cautious and not to lose it.

what should I do first- should I make a backup of 6s playlists on the iCloud?

and then what should I do?
